Anderson Opener — Webster, SD
Patented TechnologyPut Every Seed in Its Place.
Farmer-developed opener systems engineered for accurate seed placement, true seed-and-fertilizer separation and consistent emergence.
How It Works
Better Placement Starts Below the Surface.
The Anderson Opener system works in sequence below the soil to give every seed the best possible start.
Loosen the Seed Zone
The opener loosens soil below the seed zone for improved root penetration and seedbed preparation.
Deep-Band the Fertilizer
Fertilizer is placed beneath and away from seed, preventing burn and maximizing nutrient uptake.
Firm the Fertilizer Trench
The trench is firmed and closed before seed is placed above it, ensuring proper separation.
Place Seed at Controlled Depth
Seed is placed at a precise, consistent depth on a firm seedbed for uniform germination.
Promote Uniform Emergence
Strong seed-to-soil contact drives consistent germination and emergence across every acre.
Performance
Why Anderson Openers Outperform.
True Separation
Keeps seed separated from deep-banded fertilizer and nitrogen, eliminating seed burn and improving nutrient uptake.
Consistent Placement
Places seed on a firm seedbed at a controlled depth for uniform emergence across every acre.
Built for the Field
Durable, replaceable wear components engineered for demanding conditions and long service life.

Built by a Farmer Who Believed There Was a Better Way.
In the early 1980s, South Dakota farmer Kevin Anderson set out to solve a problem he faced every planting season: how to place seed and fertilizer in one pass without sacrificing placement accuracy or risking seed burn.
What he developed became the foundation of Anderson Openers — a system patented in 1984 that separated seed from fertilizer while maintaining precise depth control and seed-to-soil contact. It wasn't designed in a lab. It was designed in the field, by a farmer who needed it to work.
Today, Kory Anderson carries that legacy forward through Anderson Industries, continuing to engineer practical solutions for the challenges real farmers face.

“We switched to the RE-Razor three seasons ago and haven't looked back. Seed placement is dead-on, fertilizer separation is exactly what we needed, and emergence has never been more uniform across our operation.”

“The AE-Series has held up through some brutal conditions — heavy residue, variable soils, the works. Consistent depth, consistent spacing. Our canola stands speak for themselves.”

“Anderson's team in Webster actually picked up the phone when I had questions. The AE-SS is built tough and performs exactly as advertised. Straightforward, dependable, no gimmicks.”
